The NACE May Meeting 2017 has officially wrapped up, and we think it was a huge success!
We were treated to an incredible program at the Philander Chase Knox Estate which combined the efforts of the very talented Chefs Jerry Edwards and Danny Salazar. Chef Edwards, CPCE, is Owner and Corporate Chef with Chef’s Expressions Catering and Event Design of Timonium, MD and Past National President of NACE.
Chef Salazar of Robert Ryan Catering & Design prepared a special four course meal, while Chef Edwards, CPCE (owner of Chef’s Expressions) conducted an amazing educational program on wine pairing. The NACE Philly team enjoyed a wonderful experience studying the complementary fusion of wine and food.
Not only did we learn about wine and food pairing, but we were also introduced to the subtle nuances of the wines themselves! Christopher Boyd, owner and winemaker at Cardinal Hollow Winery, presented a description of each wine as it was poured out for us.
The amazing food and wine was made all the more enjoyable by the incredible environment that surrounded us. Dinner was set out on rustic farm tables dotted with pastel floral centerpieces designed by Papertini. The evening was perfect, and allowed for us to dine under a luxurious tent provided by The Party Center, while being serenaded by the perfectly timed music spun by Silver Sound Entertainment. With the natural beauty of Valley Forge Park as our backdrop, it was truly a stunning night!
After dinner, Lindsay Ancarrow presented a brief segment about the benefits of the very resourceful Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Bureau, our event title sponsor. We were even treated to a brief cameo by President George Washington himself!
Thanks to Campli Photography and Valley Creek Productions for capturing the fun of the event!
Thanks to our title sponsor for helping us produce this month's meeting.
